Self ligating brackets

This type of bracket has a unique ligation system which allows the arch-wire to exert a more constant force and also reduces friction between the bracket and arch-wire. Both of these factors promote faster tooth movement and research has shown that treatment time is reduced by an average of 4 months. 

Due to the higher cost of these brackets, we are not able to offer them to NHS patients at the present time but we are hoping to use them more routinely as prices start to come down.
