Private treatment

Private treatment is available to everyone and means that patients (or their parents) pay for the full cost of treatment.

Private patients benefit from our very high standards of care and the excellent treatment results achieved for all treatments in our Centres, including

  • the huge amount of skill, experience and knowledge  within our Orthodontic teams
  • our growing range of state of the art equipment
  • improved methods due to ongoing research and audit undertaken in our Centres to constantly improve on our results
  • the latest Orthodontic materials and techniques.

In addition, Private patients benefit from a wider choice of appointment times (including late/early appointments and Saturday appointments), from more relaxed appointments during treatment, and from some treatment appliances not available under the NHS.

Those opting for private treatment, may choose to wear any type of orthodontic appliance suitable for their treatment, including:

  • standard steel braces
  • self-ligating braces (which might mean a quicker result)
  • ceramic brackets (much less obvious)
  • lingual brackets (the appliance is placed on the inside or tongue side surface the teeth)
  • Invisalign (totally clear appliances)
  • removable appliances
  • functional appliances

Click here for details of the different types of appliance available.

The cost of private treatment varies from £600 to £5,500 (click on ' Private Fees ' for more details) and may be paid via one of three different payment options:

  • in one stage at the start of treatment for which there is a discount
  • in three stages
  • by standing order over up to 18 months

We do charge for missed appointments, and for lost appliances and repairs to appliances caused by misuse.

If you would like to discuss your own options for Private Treatment please contact us, or ask for a Private Consultation (costing £60) when you make your first appointment with us. If you do not request this, unless we have been specifically asked by your referring dentist to see you privately, we will assume that you prefer to be seen under the NHS regulations.

If you wish to refer yourself for a consultation, click here for our online referral form.
