Bristol Orthodontics currently has 10 fully qualified specialist orthodontists working from three centres. Each is a qualified dental surgeon (5 years at University plus practical experience) who has gone on to undertake extensive further training in this specialist branch of dentistry, and has passed additional professional examinations after qualifying as a dentist. Only then is the Orthodontist admitted to the General Dental Council's Specialist Register for Orthodontics.

Qualifications include:
BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery - the first or general dental qualification)
FDSRCS (Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons)
MSc (Masters Degree in Orthodontics)
MOrthRCS (Membership in Orthodontics of the Royal College of Surgeons)
DOrthRCS (Diploma in Orthodontics of the Royal College of Surgeons)
