Dr Richard qualified as dental surgeon from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany in 1993. She completed her dissertation in human genetics with honours in 1995. In the following years she gained professional experience in general dental practice in the fields of oral surgery, restorative and paediatric dentistry and orthodontics. In 2003 Claudia completed her formal postgraduate orthodontic training at Bristol University and also obtained her Master's Degree in Orthodontics from the Chamber of Dentists in Muenster, Germany. She currently holds a post as clinical assistant teaching dental students at the Orthodontic Department of Bristol University and continues to work at Kingswood Orthodontic Centre four days a week.
