Removable Appliances

Your removable appliance will have been made specially to fit your mouth, and you must take great care of it.   At first it may feel uncomfortable and make eating, swallowing and talking difficult. This will only last a few days, and you should soon become used to having it in your mouth.

If you have any problems, please contact us as soon as possible.

You must:

  • Wear your brace all the time, including meal times and when sleeping.
  • Clean your teeth and your brace after every time you eat and before bed using your toothbrush. You should carry your toothbrush to school or work and when out of the house when you might eat something.
  • Try to avoid snacking.
  • Do not eat sticky foods or sweets, as these will damage your brace.
  • Remove your brace when playing any contact sports or swimming. 
  • Keep your brace in a safe place as there may be a charge for replace a lost or broken brace.
